Things are a changin' Sharks! The TNTT has changed to a new location. The corn was getting too high and
the traffic has steadily been increasing. We need to fulfill our addiction for speed in safe
conditions, right?
We have moved the TNTT to the mountain bikers parking lot on the West side of Evergreen Lake off Evergreen Lake Rd.

Click here for the course map. We'll still meet at the same time (between 5:30-6:00) and
the TT will start at roughly 6:15. The course will be exactly 20K, or 12.4 miles, and now there will be a legitimate two-loop, 40K
option. All of the turns will be right-hand turns for safety, and there is only one turn where we will
have a stop sign (Brown to Ropp) which is a very low traffic intersection. In addition, the road
conditions are much better on Ropp Rd/Hudson Rd/Brown Rd than the current TT course, so that will be
ideal. Trust me when I say that our course will not lose any of its 'character' (read: painful up hills)...as a
matter of fact my Garmin shows 403ft of climbing for the 12.4 mi course.
TNTT Rules and Guidelines
We need to impress on people the importance of safety at the TT course. Here are a couple of rules to remember:
- When racing, please stay to the right side of the lane close to the road line and never ever ride in the on-coming lane -- at any time.
- Pass only when safe to do so and traffic is clear. Again, this is not a closed course and two riders side by side can be dangerous with cars on the road.
- Before and after the TT, please stay off the roads on the grass shoulders. 20+ riders stopped in an intersection do not help motorist’s views of cyclists.
- Again, in a battle between a car and bicycle, the bicycle always loses. Please remember these rules. We do not want to ban repeat offenders and stop the TT or even worse have anyone injured.
- When the corn gets higher, and/if we don’t have a volunteer to watch a corner; there will be a mandatory “foot down” at each intersection.
